JOBU ( Job Ochieng)
JOB OCHIENG
,
Job Nguono Ochieng, was born on the17th January, 2003 in Nairobi, Kenya. He attended PCEA Langata school where he started playing the street football on the rough tuffs just for fun.Upon reaching 12 years of age, he ended up joining the Express academy, which at the time was also a performing football academy in Nairobi. It is from here that he learned some football basics such as handling the ball. It didn't stop there but the star boy was spotted by the famous Ligi Ndogo soccer academy , where he also learnt other basic skills in a deep way.
It is from here that he got an opportunity to travel abroad, through the support of his family and well wishers, that he was able to go to the Canary Islands in Spain. Unfortunately upon reaching there, it is believed that he was left alone with the agency with no one to rely on in a foreign country until, when the staff of CD Maspalomas spotted him and were impressed with his first impression on the field. Job himself on a past interview, even admits that the club gave him accomodation and also a shelter for him to stay, while he still had that European dream. While still at Maspalmos, he got an opportunity to go for trials at Las Palmas but was rejected until Real Sociedad C accepted to sign him. This is where things started to unfold for the young striker. After that, he was promoted to the B team and later in 2026, he went to the main team, which plays the Spanish top flight, making history as the third Kenyan International Footballer, to feature for a spanish side, in Spanish topflight after Olunga and Mariga. He made history as the only Kenyan to lift a trophy in the Spanish league after his team beat Elche in the Copa del Rey finals.

In the international stage, he featured lately for the Harambee stars in the FiFA Series, which happened in Rwanda. Unfortunately he succumbed an injury while still at international duty at that time. He is a promising striker that Kenya will have in years ahead together with Ryan Ogam after the era of Michael Olunga and Jonah Ayunga. He is still expected to deliver more in the days ahead.
